For Success Just Add Love... and Water

While the City Garden sizzled, the Country Garden continued to be lovingly cared for while I was away and has thrived.  It was fantastic to see how green and productive it is at the moment.  I've missed being able to harvest my own vegetables over the last month.  And finally, as you can see, there's more to pick than just silverbeet!

  1. Very nice harvest. I especially like the lovely long yellow chillies - they are one of my favourites

    1. Yes I'm so happy to have a good harvest of them again! Last year they started much earlier than the other capsicums and kept going for months and months. So this year I just planted the one type, and many more than last year!

  2. Heaps to pick - lovely range of produce. I have some of those yellow peppers coming along - how do you use them?

    1. They are so crunchy and sweet that I usually use them in salads, cut up in thin strips. I've stuffed them and baked them before, which is delicious, but they are usually not big enough to make it worthwhile, it gets a bit fiddly!

  3. Looks like a feast for a king! With a foot of snow on the ground the only thing we can harvest right now is carrots, and they are still great.

    1. I think I'd feel extra proud of my carrot harvest if I had to rummage around in snow to find them!
